Product Description

  • Composition:

Each uncoated tablet contains:
Pimobendan Ph. Eur -2.5 mg / 5 mg / 10 mg
Excipients          q.s.

·    Mechanism of Action:

Petmedin Tablet contains pimobendan (non-sympathomimetic, non-glycoside inotropic drug) which is indicated for the management of canine congestive heart failure originating from dilated cardiomyopathy or valvular insufficiency.

·   Indications of use:

Pimobendan is indicated in dogs for the management of the signs of mild, moderate, or severe congestive heart failure due to atrioventricular valvular insufficiency (AVVI) or dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM).

·    Dosage and route of administration:

The dose rate of Pimobendan is 0.5mg/kg body weight.

The dose should be 0.25 mg/kg body weight twice daily, one half of the dose in the morning and the other half approximately 12 hours later.

Each dose should be given on an empty stomach and at least one hour before feeding. Or as directed by veterinarian.

  • For dogs only.

·   Interactions and incompatibilities:

  • Pimobendon should not be used in dogs with ascites resulting from pericardial effusion.
  • Increases Survival Time and improves Quality of Life in canine patients.

  • Precautions and contraindications:

Not for human use.
